Custom Website Development
Marketing sites and content platforms built from your requirements — sensible CMS, real page structure, and a front end engineered around Core Web Vitals rather than patched for them afterwards.
We design and build fast, scalable websites, Shopify storefronts and web apps — then stay on the numbers after launch. Every build is scoped around speed, search and checkout from the first call, because those are the three things that decide whether a site earns anything.
We build on the platform that fits the business — not the one we prefer
A redesign gets approved because the mockups look better than what you have. Nobody in that meeting asks what the current site converts at, which pages actually bring in traffic, or what the checkout drop-off looks like on a phone. So the new site launches, it photographs well, and revenue does not move.
The gap is almost never design talent. It is that the build and the growth work were owned by different people. The developer never saw the analytics; whoever runs your email has no idea what the product page looks like at 3G on a mid-range Android. Every handoff between those two is somewhere revenue leaks out.
We scope the opposite way round. Before anything is designed we go through what you have — speed, search visibility, funnel, checkout — and the build gets prioritised against what those numbers say is costing you the most.
Scoped individually or as one build. Each links to the specialist work that plugs into it.

Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom storefronts — catalogue structure, checkout flow, apps and subscriptions, built so the merchandising team can work without a developer.

Wiring the site to the systems that run the business: ERP, CRM, 3PL, payments, subscription billing and your analytics stack, with the failure cases actually handled.
Image pipeline, font loading, script budget, render path. Passing Core Web Vitals is a ranking input and a conversion input at the same time, which makes it the cheapest work on this list.

Explore this service →The honest version of the answer we give on the first call. Most agencies recommend whatever they are fastest in — here is what each option really costs you.
| Platform | Best for | Time to launch | Who can edit it | The trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shopify most common | Product-led ecommerce that needs to sell reliably from day one | 6–10 weeks | Merchandisers work unaided | Platform fees plus app subscriptions, and checkout customisation is limited unless you are on Plus |
| WooCommerce | Brands already invested in WordPress, or content-heavy catalogues | 8–12 weeks | Familiar if your team knows WordPress | You own hosting, security and plugin upgrades — cheaper in licence fees, more expensive in maintenance |
| Custom (Next.js) | Web apps, unusual data models, or storefronts a platform genuinely cannot express | 12–20 weeks | Whatever CMS we wire in | Highest ceiling and highest cost; every feature a platform gives free is now yours to build and maintain |
| Webflow | Marketing sites where the team wants to change layouts without a developer | 3–6 weeks | Marketers edit layout, not just copy | Ecommerce and complex integrations hit a ceiling fast — great brochure site, weak store |
No platform on this list is wrong — the wrong one is whichever you picked without knowing the trade-off. We make the recommendation during the audit, in writing, with the reasoning.
The same four stages on every build, so you always know which one you are in and what comes out of it.
Speed, crawlability, funnel and checkout on your current site — measured, not guessed. You get the list of what is costing you revenue right now.
Platform recommendation with the trade-offs written down, plus sitemap, data model and a build order prioritised by what the audit found.
Development runs while the lifecycle and SEO work is already being written, so launch day is not the day marketing starts from zero.
dev & marketing in parallelPost-launch we stay on Core Web Vitals, search performance and checkout analytics — refining what works and cutting what does not.

Traffic you paid for once should not be traffic you have to pay for again. The build and the email programme are planned together here — flows are being written while the storefront is still in staging, so the site launches with something already working to bring people back.
A free technical and conversion audit of what you have now — speed, search, funnel and checkout, with the fixes ranked by what they are worth. No pitch deck.
Still unsure where we'd fit? Book a call and we'll tell you honestly — even if that means a smaller scope than you expected.
It depends on scope, and the three things that move the number most are how many templates you need, how many systems the site has to integrate with, and whether the content is migrated or rewritten. A focused marketing site sits at the low end; a Shopify replatform with subscriptions and an ERP integration sits at the high end. We scope from a single landing page upward and give you a fixed number before any work starts — no hourly surprises.
Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Next.js, Astro and Webflow. We recommend based on your catalogue size, who needs to edit the site, and what it has to integrate with — and we will tell you honestly when a simpler platform is the right answer instead of a custom build.
A focused marketing site is typically 4–6 weeks. An ecommerce build or replatform is usually 8–14 weeks depending on catalogue complexity and integrations. Web apps are scoped individually. The audit stage gives you a dated plan before you commit.
Only if it is done carelessly. Rankings are lost through broken redirects, dropped content and changed URL structures — so we map every existing URL, preserve the pages that already earn traffic, and ship a redirect plan as part of launch rather than after it.
Both, and that is the point of the way we are set up. The email, SEO and lifecycle work is planned alongside the build and runs from launch day, so the site is not sitting there waiting for someone else to start driving traffic to it.
Often that is the better call. If the platform is sound, targeted work on speed, templates and checkout usually returns more than a full rebuild. The audit tells us which of the two you are actually looking at, and we will say so even when the answer is the smaller project.
You do — repository, hosting, domain and every third-party account are in your name from the start. There is no proprietary CMS you would have to leave behind, and no scenario where changing agencies means rebuilding.
Yes. Roughly half of this engine is B2B and service businesses — lead-generation sites, client portals, booking systems and internal tools — alongside the DTC and ecommerce work.
